Ruth Stanton Hasting was born on March 30, 1924 in Putnam County, TN to the late Hassell Dewey Jane Stanton.

Mrs. Hasting was house mother at the TN School for the Blind and a member of Lebanon Road Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Hasting, and a brother, Charles Stanton. She is survived by a son daughter-in-law, John and Kathryn Hastings of Springfield, TN; daughter son-in-law, Barbara and Tim Mitchell of LaVergne, TN; brother, Bill Stanton of Baxter, TN; grandchildren, Rebecca Robinson, Rhiannon Mitchell, and Laura Hastings. Beazley is survived by her brother, Jere Ballentine (Jane); her niece, Amy; her nephew, Jeff (Luanne) and two great nieces. She is survived also by her stepchildren, Lindy Beazley Sayers (Hanley), Dr. Luthur A. Beazley III (Margaret), Dr. W.

Cooper Beazley (Carol), Liza Beazley Lentz (Allen) and her grandchildren, Hanley Sayers III (Mary Birch), Lt. Luthur A. Beazley IV (Kyung), Nicholas D. Beazley (Liz), Meg M. Beazley, Joan B.

Beazley, William C. Beazley, Reed Beazley, Miller Beazley, Allen Davis Lentz, Mary Liza Lentz, and Eleanor Lentz. Mrs. Beazley, the daughter of Ethel and John Ballentine, was a graduate of Carson-Newman College, and she held a Masters Degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She taught at Peabody Demonstration School from 1960 to 1969.

She and her husband, Luthur, were avid travelers. Her interest began while teaching at Peabody Demonstration School (now the University School of Nashville) where she led numerous student groups to Europe in the summers. Mrs. Beazley was President of the Nashville Medical Auxiliary and from 1981 to 1982, served as President of the Tennessee State Medical Association Auxiliary. During her term as President of the State Auxiliary, she championed 'Just What the Doctor Ordered', a compilation of recipes from physicians' homes across the state of Tennessee.

In 1971, Mrs. Beazley was Chairman of the Residential Drive for the Davidson County Cancer Association. Mrs. Beazley was a loyal volunteer at Donelson Hospital, and her hard work was recognized in 1989, when she was named "Volunteer of the Year" there. A member of the Round Dozen Book Club, Mrs.

Beazley loved reading. She was an avid bridge player, an expert at needlework and sewing, and a gourmet cook. She and her husband of thirty-seven years were long-standing members of West End United Methodist Church. After submitting samples of work, Mrs. Beazley was chosen to needlepoint the center kneeler at the communion rail of West End United Methodist Church.

A Memorial service for Mrs. Beazley will be held on March 15, 2008 at West End United Methodist Church at 11 a.m.. Visitation will be in Reed Hall with her family before the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Luthur A. Beazley Fund at the Community Foundation, Post Office Box 440225, Nashville, Tennessee 37244.

WORKING III, Thad Mason Age 66, February 16, 2008. Thad (Timmy) passed away unexpectedly on Saturday. Born and raised in the Nashville area, Thad served in the Air Force during the 1960's. He earned his pilot's license in 1968. Thad became a well-respected corporate pilot and had flown for many celebrities and executives.

Thad was also a member of the "Quiet He enjoyed deep-sea fishing and would make trips to the Gulf often. He was also thrilled to have been featured on the cover of an intl. boating magazine. Beloved by his family and large circle of friends he will be greatly missed by all. He leaves behind a devoted wife of forty-four years, Linda Berger Working, and sons, Thad (Tad) Working IV and Craig Working; grandchildren, Jordan, Wesley, Mason, Gage Bodie; brothers, Larry Bobby Working.
