If you are not attending Ohio University this first summer session or full summer semester and are still enrolled for classes, please contact youracademic college or regional campus student services office.

NEW: When you log into MyOHIO Student Center you will be prompted to update or confirm the address where you will be living this summer semester (labeled as your “current living address” in the system) unless you live in university housing. In addition, you will need to confirm your emergency contact information, and you may provide the University permission to text your cell phone.

The deadline dates listed later in this message are for classes that meet the standard dates for first summer session and full summer semester.However, many students (especially those enrolled in OHIO Online, eCampus programs) take classes that meet during different dates from the first summer session or full summer semester dates.Therefore, it is important to check the add/drop/withdraw dates for each course you are registered to take during first summer session or full summer semester. These dates will vary on a class-by-class basis and may be different from those listed below.

To find specific deadline dates, such as the last day to drop or last day to withdraw, click onthe calendar icon in your weekly schedule inMyOHIO Student Center.Please note: these dates can vary on a class-by-class basis depending on the class start date and end date. Deadlines are 5:00 p.m. Eastern on the date indicated (unless otherwise noted).However, online transactions may be processed beyond 5:00 p.m. Eastern if the system is available.

Some Important dates from theAcademic Calendar for first session classes. Class specific deadlines are for classes that meet first session (5/13/24 – 6/29/24):

  • Sunday, May 12, 2024, is the last day to cancel registration for first summer session (remove all courses and fees).
  • Monday, May 13, 2024, is the first day of classes.
  • Friday, May 17, 2024, is the last day to register for first summer session and the last day to add a first summer session class.
  • Friday, May 17, 2024, is the last day to remove a first summer session class from your academic record with possible fee adjustment.Note: From May 18 – June 14, 2024, students may withdraw from one or more first summer session classes, but the course will remain on student’s academic record with a withdrawn grade and no fee adjustment.
  • Monday, May 27, 2024, Memorial Day holiday (University offices officially closed; classes notin session). Note: Dining halls are closed (sack meal service available)
  • Friday, June 14, 2024, is the last day to withdraw from (drop) an individual class on your first summer session schedule. Note: Course remains on student’s academic record with a withdrawn grade and no fee adjustment.
  • Wednesday, June 19, 2024, Juneteenth National Independence Day holiday (University offices officially closed; classes notin session). Note: Dining halls are closed (sack meal service available).
  • Friday, June 28, 2024, is the last day to withdraw (drop all first session classes) from the University for first summer session (contact college or regional campus student services office). Note: Courses remain on student’s academic record with withdrawn grades and no fee adjustment.
  • Saturday, June 29, 2024, is the last day of classes and closing date for first summer session. Note: Final examinations are scheduled for the last meeting time of each individual class.
  • Thursday, July 4, 2024, first summer session grades available.
  • Monday, July 15, 2024, is the last day to apply for graduation for summer semester.

Some important dates to remember for full summer semester classes. Class specific deadlines are for classes that meet the full semester (5/13/23 – 8/17/24):

  • Sunday, May 12, 2024, is the last day to cancel registration for full summer semester (remove all courses and fees).
  • Monday, May 13, 2024, is the first day of classes.
  • Friday, May 17, 2024, is the last day to add a full summer semester class without instructor’s approval.
  • Friday, May 24, 2024, is the last day to register for full summer semester and the last day to add a full summer semester class (instructor’s permission required).
  • Friday, May 24, 2024, is the last day to remove a full summer semester class from your academic record with possible fee adjustment.Note: From May 25– July 19, 2024, students may withdraw from one or more full summer semester classes, but the course will remain on student’s academic record with a withdrawn grade and no fee adjustment.
