In-Store Purchases

Dollar General does take Apple Pay for in-store purchases. The store has point-of-sale terminals that support contactless payments, allowing customers to make purchases using their Apple Pay-enabled devices. This means you can simply tap your iPhone or Apple Watch at the checkout counter to complete your transaction. In addition to Apple Pay, Dollar General also accepts other contactless payment methods such as Google Pay and Samsung Pay.

Online Purchases

When it comes to online shopping at Dollar General, Apple Pay is not currently accepted as a payment method. However, the store does have its mobile wallet called DG GO! which supports PayPal, credit cards, and debit cards for online purchases. Unfortunately, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay are not supported by the DG GO! mobile wallet.

Other Accepted Payment Methods

Dollar General offers a variety of payment options to cater to different customer preferences. In addition to Apple Pay, here are the other payment methods accepted at Dollar General:

  1. Cash
  2. Contactless Debit and Credit cards (including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay)
  3. Visa, American Express, Mastercard, and Discover cards
  4. Personal checks
  5. EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) for qualifying items such as packaged food and produce

Where Else Can You Use Apple Pay?

While Dollar General accepts Apple Pay, it's worth noting that many other retailers and establishments also accept this contactless payment method. Some examples include Family Dollar, Hy-Vee, Safeway, Staples, Target, Albertsons, ALDI, Duane Reade, Meijer, and Rite Aid.

Conclusion

Dollar General does accept Apple Pay for in-store purchases, providing customers with a convenient and secure payment option. However, Apple Pay is not currently accepted for online purchases at Dollar General. It's always a good idea to check with the store or their website for the most up-to-date information on accepted payment methods.
